What is The Cotswold Art Box all about?

When owner Natalie became a mum she wanted her children to have a magical childhood, full of creativity, imagination and exploration, just like she did growing up.

The idea for The Cotswold Art Box came one winter soon after Natalie and her family moved to Bourton on the Water. Natalie had always kept a box full of art and craft activities for her two children. However, with children's ever-changing minds, Natalie found herself spending a small fortune topping up the box or seeking out new and exciting treasures for the box to captivate the children's minds. The box itself had become an entire cabinet by this point!

She thought how amazing it would be to create a space where all the activities and resources are already there for children (and adults!) to enjoy. Not only would this space be an explosion of colour to trigger everyone's creative side, but the costs of crafting activities at home would be reduced. Parents would no longer need to spend £20+ in an arts and crafts store only to have to revisit the following week when their child has a new idea.

From that moment, The Cotswold Art Box was born. A space for parents to make memories with their children, a relaxed place for grandparents to bring their grandchildren after the school run or a venue for friends to meet. No complicated technology to engage with, just good old fashioned creativity and mess...!
